Legendary crooner Frank Sinatra purchased the "Valley Spring Lane House" in 1944 and relocated his family from the East Coast to Los Angeles. Sinatra sold the house in 1949 and moved his family to the Holmby Hills neighborhood.

The Valley Spring Lane house was built in 1933 by actress Mary Astor at a cost of $10.000. Astor and her family resided in the house until 1940.

In the 1960s the house was owned by singer Bobby Darin and his wife, actress Sandra Dee.
