On Saturday 16th September 2023, Joachim DB2YI/P, a radio amateur from Germany, reached the summit of Fuchskarspitze and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 25 contacts in total working on the 2m and 40m amateur radio bands.
