On Saturday 23rd July 2022 JJ1WTL a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Fujisan Kengamine and became the first to active this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 225 contacts in total working on the 70 cm UHF amateur radio band.
