On Sunday 4th June 2023, Mircea YO8XCM, a radio amateur from Romania reached the summit of Furnica and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 11 contacts in total working on the 20m amateur radio band.
