On Wednesday 28th June 2023, Bruno HB9CBR/P, a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Giferspitz and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 55 contacts in total working on the 60m, 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m, 12m and 10m amateur radio bands.
