On Wednesday 7th September 2022, Don KG5ISG and George WB5USB, two radio amateurs from Albuquerque, NM reached the summit of Greenie Peak and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 27 contacts in total working on the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
