Högskolan i Halmstad (Halmstad University)
The University of Halmstad recently celebrated its 20th anniversary as an independent institution of higher education with its own vice-chancellor. The first courses in tertiary education began in 1973. At present the University has some 40 degree programmes, 7000 students and 500 employees.
