Hôpital Caroline

Hôpital Caroline

Marseille, France (FR)
The insular hospital, true temple dedicated to medicine, named Caroline in homage to Marie-Caroline of Bourbon-Sicily, princess of the Deux-Siciles, married of the Duke of Berry, is inaugurated, after more than five years of reflexion and construction.

The Hospital Caroline is listed in the additional inventory of historic buildings. Since then, the association Caroline pursues its double goal of social and cultural animation: the restoration and the rehabilitation of the site are ensured by a program of social insertion and, in aestival periods, by voluntary persons (a program for young people created by the french federation REMPART).
