Høiby Langdysse (Long Barrow)

Høiby Langdysse (Long Barrow)

Lejre, Denmark (DK)
Høiby Langdysse is a Neolithic long barrow located in the southern part of Lejre, Denmark. The tomb was originally quite far out in a field, but a new housing estate is being built near it and a new walking path now goes past it making access to the site easier now. The majority of the kerbstones that would have followed the edge of the mound are still visible today. The dolmen has been removed and now a depression is all that is left of the dolmen. Multiple field stones, not originally from the tomb, have been placed and moved to the site which makes it hard to identify which stones are original and which are not.
