On Saturday 16th July 2022 Ron NR3E a radio amateur from Mount Carmel, TN reached the summit of High Knob and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 15 contacts in total working on 60, 40, 20 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.
