On Sunday 3rd March 2024, Chris F5MMP/p a radio amateur from France reached the summit of Hirtzenstein and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 28 contacts in total working on the 20m, 17m and 10m amateur radio bands.
