On Friday 29th March 2024 at 10:34 UTC, Fri DL4FDM, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Tom DK3DUA/P, a radio amateur from Germany, who was operating from Hochstein-Karlsleite NSG (DLFF-0282), on the 40m amateur radio band. Tom made a total of 54 contacts while at the reserve.
Hochstein-Karlsleite NSG (DLFF-0282), is a protected area of 22 hectares lying south east of Dresden in the east of Germany. It was designated as a Nature Reserve in 1974 and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area Is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
