The Church of the Holy Trinity has two hypotheses regarding its origin. The first is the church is Romanesque from the 12th century and the second is Venetian Renaissance from the 15th century.
The church stands behind a wall to protect from Turish attacks in the 16th century. Inside the church are Gothic frescoes by Johannes de Castua, a 15th century Istrian artist of Croatia. Castua finished the frescoes in 1490. The most famous fresco is a Dance of Death (pictured). The frescoes were discovered in 1949 under thick layers of plaster.
