On Saturday 9th July 2022 Robert N3BZ a radio amateur from Gilbert, AZ reached the summit of Hutch Mountain and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 39 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
