1930's movie star, Jean Harlow, and her mother Jean Poe Carpenter, purchased a lot in Holmby Hills and built this Georgian style mansion with a pool and a guesthouse in 1932. They spent $25,000 furnishing it with such things as a walk-in fridge and a polar bear rug. It was famously called "The whitest house in Hollywood". The house has since been renovated.
