Jeffrey Epstein was a financial consultant to the uber-rich, but he was also a convicted sex offender who had connections to many important people from Bill Clinton to Donald Trump, to Prince Andrew of Great Britain, and many of the world’s wealthiest people. It has long been rumored that he has facilitated sexual activities for these individuals with underage girls and unwilling participants over the years. He avoided so many charges of sexual misconduct for years, until he was arrested in July 2019.

Facing what was clearly insurmountable evidence and allegations, Epstein apparently killed himself in his jail cell on August 19 2019. At the time of his death he was worth more than $500 million.
Jeffrey Edward Epstein was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 20, 1953. After several failed career moves, Epstein established himself as a financial consultant to the stars and important people from around the world. However, it’s unclear how Epstein actually acquired his wealth, as he had a long history of failed investments, major Ponzi schemes, and collapsed markets. His financial dealings have always been murky at best, but that never stopped the rich and famous from associating with him and his girlfriend Ghisaline Maxwell.

After being accused of sexual misconduct against a minor in 2005, Epstein was indicted in Palm Beach, Florida. He pled guilty to charges and was given an extremely lenient sentence, outraging victims and their families. He served his sentence in an unlocked cell, had access to much of the prison, and after a few months, he was actually allowed to leave the prison daily to go to his Palm Beach home to “work” for up to 12 hours a day, six days a week! After he served only 13 months, he was released and put on probation, which was never enforced. Unlike most convicted sex offenders, he was free to travel internationally right away.

Most of the evidence gathered for the 2005 investigation was taken from Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion. The house is currently on the market as of September 2020, for about $22 million. The lakefront house has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a nice outdoor pool, and a whole lot of bad history. At least 80 underage girls were assaulted in the home, though he was only prosecuted for a minor charge.

Over the years, ever more victims alleged assault and other charges against him, but he avoided prosecution until July 2019, when he was arrested and housed in a New York City jail. Deemed a significant flight risk, he was denied bail, even after offering $100 million to stay out of prison pending the trial. He was found dead in his cell on August 19, 2019. His attorneys, friends and others have claimed he did not kill himself, and the many vagaries of the situation have led many in the public to consider that he may not have committed suicide. Considering how many high-level people have been connected to his sexual crimes, it would be no wonder that they wanted him dead before he could testify or provide evidence of their crimes.

Epstein had several residences, some of which are listed on this website.
