On Thursday 3rd November 2022, JN2TLQ/2 and JA1CTV, two radio amateurs from Japan reached the summit of Kenashiyama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 47 contacts in total working on the 70cm UHF, 2 metre VHF and the 40, 20, 17 and 10 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Kenashiyama is 1964 metres (6444 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.

Kenashiyama is in the Shizuoka Prefecture on Honshu Island.
