Fraser Island (also known as K'gari and Gari) is a World Heritage-listed island in the Wide Bay–Burnett region of Queensland. The island is about 250 km north of the Brisbane and is within the Fraser Coast Region local government area. The world heritage listing includes the island, its surrounding waters and parts of the nearby mainland.
