On Saturday 6th April 2024 at 09:35 UTC, Jacek SQ8IJR, a radio amateur from Poland, made contact with Ruda OK2QA/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic, who was operating from Kojetínské vrchy (OKFF-3248), on the 40m amateur radio band. Ruda made a total of 75 contacts while at the reserve.
Kojetínské vrchy (OKFF-3248)[Kojetín hills], is a protected area of 252.7450 hectares, which lies to the north-east of Brno in the Czech Republic. In 2019 it was designated as a Special Area of Conservation under the EU's Habitats Directive and is part of the Natura 2000 network.
Natura 2000 aims to protect many of Europe's most vulnerable and threatened habitats and species.
