On Friday 29th March 2024 at 10:22 UTC, Ed DK1WI, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Ruda OK2QA/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic, who was operating from PP Rakosina ve Stritezi nad Becvou (OKFF-2198), on the 40m amateur radio band. Ruda made a total of 69 contacts while at the reserve.
PP Rakosina ve Stritezi nad Becvou (OKFF-2198), is a protected area of 1.7945 hectares lying to the east of the village of Střítež nad Bečvou in the east of the Czech Republic. It was designated in 1994 as a Nature Monument and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
