On Sunday 31st March 2024 at 11:23 UTC, Fred DL8DXL, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Jany LZ1GJ/P, a radio amateur from Bulgaria, who was operating from Kormisosh (LZFF-0599), on the 2m amateur radio band.
Kormisosh (LZFF-0599), is a protected area of 272,600 hectares in the south of Bulgaria. In 2002 this reserve became an area of State Game Husbandry.
Jany was at the summit of Tuzlata (1856 metres asl) while he was at the reserve and made a total of 25 contacts for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
