On Monday 26th June 2023, Gregory W7GA, a radio amateur from South Jordan, UT reached the summit of Lake Fork Mountain and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 23 contacts in total working on the 20m amateur radio band.
