Lake Placid Toboggan Chute

Lake Placid Toboggan Chute

Lake Placid, New York (NY), US
A 30 feet tall converted ski jump trestle erected on the shore of Mirror Lake serves as an icy toboggan chute during the winter months. The chute sends riders on a long slide across the frozen lake.

Since 2010, the annual Adirondack International Toboggan Championship is held here. Winners are determined by the length of the slide across the frozen lake. Proceeds from the event benefit the USA Luge program.
