This was the house of Lego founder Ole Kirk Christiansen who created Lego toys made of wood in 1932, mainly the Lego duck.

He built the factory behind the house and sold his toys in the shop on the left side of the house. 1942 the factory burns down and he build up a new and have 40 employees.

1947 he makes his first plastic bricks.

1958 the new factory was built where it is now but the house was still family home and shop.
