On Tuesday 4th July 2023, Pat HB9HOP/P, a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Mönch and bcame the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 10 contacts in total working on the 2m amateur radio band.
