On Monday 25th March 2024 at 13:31 UTC, Lacy YO6CFB, a radio amateur from Romania made contact with Saku OH2NOS/P, a radio amateur from Finland who was operating from Mössenkärrin luonnonsuojelualue, Suomi 100 (OHFF-1618) on the 30m amateur radio band. Saku made 136 contacts while he was at the reserve.
Mössenkärrin luonnonsuojelualue, Suomi 100 (OHFF-1618), is a protected area of 9 hectares located to the south-east of Espoo and to the west of Helsinki in Finland. It was designated as a Private Nature Reserve in 2017 and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
IUCN Management Category IV areas are areas to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
