The Macedonia Baptist Church is at 1910 Highway 79 in Carthage, TX 75633. To the rear of the church is a small churchyard cemetery. The present modern building replaced an older building constructed following the destruction of the original one built in 1845.

The stone monument in front of the church records that the church was established in 1845 with the first pastor being Lemuel Herrin.
