The Magic Shop, at 49 Crosby Street, has been the site of recording sessions for 25 years. David Bowie's 2013 album, “The Next Day,” and the demos for his final record, “Blackstar” were made here, only a few blocks from Bowie's penthouse on Lafayette Street.
