On 04.10.2010. the dam of the red sludge storage pond of the Ajka Bauxite Works broke and the sludge flooded the nearby village of Kolontár and then headed towards the neighbouring town of Devecser. So far one person has been found dead, three are missing, there are 60 injured of which 8 to 10 are serious.
