Lilly was dubbed "The People's Princess" by New York Newsday and the "Rose of Shiraz" by the New York Times. With a heart bigger than her Castle, she carries on her family's tradition of helping the underprivileged. Her charity work extends towards the Arts and Children. Castle Kashan was heavily damaged or destroyed in a fire fed by Santa Anna winds on October 21, 2007. Since then, a new contemporary styled mansion was built on the property and has been on and off the market multiple times.
