A fire broke out in the Balukhali refugee camp in Cox's Bazar on the night of 3/22/21. A large portion of the camp was destroyed, and over a dozen people were killed while nearly 1,000 were injured or missing. Thought to have been started when gas cylinders used for cooking exploded, the fire was fought by a hundred firemen and burned until about midnight.
