This sculpture, with its black steel beams and propeller, suggests Baltimore’s erstwhile lifeblood, shipbuilding, and is one of four pieces commissioned in the late ’70s to enhance harbor development. Although it once stood alone, it’s now crowded by a Pratt Street overpass and parking garage, and has been altered by the installation of railroad ties as a kids’ play area.
