On Saturday 28th October 2023, Elena YU/LZ1ENE/P, a radio amateur from Bulgaria, reached the summit of Midžor and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

Elena made 63 contacts in total working on the 2m amateur radio band.
