Millennium Mills was a flour mill built at the turn of the 20th century when this area was teaming with ships in an area known as the Royal Docks. The Royal Docks closed in 1981 making the mill redundant and since then it has gone to ruin. It is to be refurbished, starting in 2015, and will become housing in part of the Silvertown re-development scheme.
