Mitsubishi Diamante Wagon (1st Generation)

Mitsubishi Diamante Wagon (1st Generation)

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PA), US
Introduced in 1992 for the 1993 model year, the Wagon configuration of the full-size addition for Mitsubishi's lineup, it was an import from Australia, but unlike in other countries, it came only in FWD without any AWD option. Nevertheless, the 3-liter 6G72 engine, the most powerful of three engines found in the Diamante, was already found in various vehicles such as the Proton Perdana and the infamous Chrysler TC by Maserati, and across the markets, it came with many features that were ahead of its time, such as autonomous cruise control (a first for production automobiles), and an electronically controlled active trace and traction control system (TCL) that integrated into Active Skid and Traction Control.
