Mose Allison is a jazz blues pianist and singer born in 1927. He was born outside of Tippo, Mississippi on his grandfather's farm. In 1956 he moved to New York and launched his jazz career playing with Stan Getz, Gerry Mulligan and others. In 1963 he started his solo work. His most well known songs include: Parchman Farm, I Don't Worry About A Thing, Your Mind is on Vacation and his remake of the Willie Dixon song, Seventh Son. Mose's music has inspired later artists like The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, John Mayall and The Clash.
