On Saturday 17th September 2022, Peter VE6FPV, a radio amateur from Calgary, AB reached the summit of Mount Aylmer and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 16 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
