Mount Baker at 512 metres (1680 feet) asl is below the height required to be a mountain, but as its summit is 113 metres (371 feet) it does dominant the surrounding area of South Australia where it is located. It is within the Mount Lofty Ranges of the state of South Australia and was named for Captain Barker.

On 19h June 2022 Ron VK3AFW/p a radio amateur from Victoria reached the summit of Mount Barker and activated the summit on the amateur radio bands for the Humps Excluding Marilyns Award (HEMA) group.

Ron was spotted on the HEMA webpage at 05:52 UTC on the 20 metre amateur band using a morse key.
