On Tuesday 5th September 2023, Matt ZL4NVW, a radio amateur from New Zealand, reached the summit of Mount Stevenson and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 8 contacts in total working on the 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.
