On Friday 15th July 2022 Rik VK3EQ a radio amateur from the state of Victoria reached the summit of Mt Saint Phillack and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 20 contacts in total working on the 40 metre HF amateur radio band.
