This 106-foot hydroelectric dam spans the Connecticut River between Pittsburg, Vermont, and New Hampshire, 383 miles from the river's mouth in Connecticut. This is one of 16 hydro facilities which have created a series of power pools on the river. Here, the impoundment has formed Lake Francis.
Paddling in this area is treacherous.
