On Friday 29th March 2024 at 08:48 UTC, Ralf DD0VE, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Henryk SP6OPZ/6, a radio amateur from Poland, who was operating from Nature Reserve Ponikwa (SPFF-1663), on the 40m amateur radio band. Henryk made a total of 212 contacts while at the reserve.
Nature Reserve Ponikwa (SPFF-1663), is a protected area of 8.3200 hectares located in Legnica county in the Lower Silesia Voivodeship in the west of Poland. It was designated in 2001 as a Nature Reserve and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
