On Saturday 6th August 2022 Pedro EA4HCF a radio amateur from Spain reached the summit of Nevero and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 40 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40, 20 and 17 metre amateur radio bands.

The summit of Nevero is 2209 metres (7247 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
