New Craig Stone Circle

New Craig Stone Circle

Inverurie, United Kingdom (GB)
New Craig is a recumbent stone circle in the Scottish county of Aberdeenshire. The stone circle is badly damaged and only a few stones remain today. The stone circle is located next to a small patch of trees surrounded by fields and a farm. Three stones belonging to the circle have been reused to form a boundary wall with the 3,5 m recumbent smashed on the top. Other standing stones, believing to be part of the stone circle, but not confirmed, can be seen at the site. A standing stone to the est of the site has cup-marked markings on it.
