The Nissan Frontier NISMO Off-Road's replacement, the Pro-4X, arrived at the same time as the 2009 mid-generation face lift for the mid-size pickup truck's 2nd generation. Although this truck, which didn't get as much attention as fellow off-roaders like Toyota's TRD Pro trucks and the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, it still possesses respectable ground clearance (even though the rear is slightly higher), an electronic locker for the rear differential, and hill-start assist and descent control. It is also paired with a 261 horsepower VQ40DE engine displacing 4 liters.
