On Sunday 31st July 2022 YU0W/P Alex and YU1CA/P Aleksandar two radio amateurs from Serbia reached the summit of Oštra čuka and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 19 contacts in total working on the 40 and 30 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Oštra čuka is 1700 metres (5807 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
