On Saturday 6th August 2022 Brian AB6D and Rex KE6MT two radio amateurs from California reached the summit of Parker Peak and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 29 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40, 30 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Parker Peak is 3917 metres (12851 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
