Petrelë Castle is a fortress perched on a rocky hill that dates back to Justinian I and the 6th century AD. The castle was part of signaling and defense system close to the capital Tirana, especially during the Albanian's fight against the Ottomans. The castle offers a spectacular view of the Erzen valley and today is home to a restaurant (wooden structure).
