On Wednesday 30th August 2023, Alberto EA3GNU/P, a radio amateur from Spain, reached the summit of Pico de Cornadelo and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 43 contacts in total working on the 20m and 15m amateur radio bands.
