On Friday 29th March 2024 at 07:37 UTC, Jacek SQ8IJR, a radio amateur from Poland, made contact with Juhani OH2CIP/P, a radio amateur from Finland, who was operating from Pikkujärven ja Kakolanmäen luonnonsuojelualue (OHFF-0604), on the 20m amateur radio band. Juhani made a total of 139 contacts while at the reserve.
Pikkujärven ja Kakolanmäen luonnonsuojelualue (OHFF-0604)[Pikkujärvi and Kakolanmäki nature reserve], is a protected area of 58 hectares located on the northern outskirts of Helsinki in the south of Finland. It was designated in 2012 as a Private Nature Reserve and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
IUCN Management Category IV areas are areas to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
